I decortated this cake for one of my cake decorating classes. Its covered with fondant and the flowers are made from gumpaste. The leaves, writing and boarders are made with buttercream.
My brother is crazy about disc golfing so I am made this out of gum paste to go on top of his cake right before we serve it. He decided that he wanted a ice cream cake this year so I cant decorate the cake its self.

Here are some royal icing primroses that I made. They are an easy flower to get a bunch done in no time. Once they were dry I brushed on some luster dust to give them some sparkle.
When I found a pan that makes these cute popsicle cakes with a bite taken out of them I just had to buy it. The pan makes 6 cakes and I covered each one in a different color of fondant.

I made this out of fondant on a cake circle. The cake was a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Since the cake needed to go in the refrigerator I made the fondant so it could just sit on top of the cake while it was out since the fondant would not hold up if put on the cake and then refrigerated.
I was just trying some things out that I recently learned and wanted to try out putting ribbon on a cake. This would work well for a wedding tier or anniversary cake. Would also look good as a Valentines cake but I think then I would put red flowers on top.
